Soraia Oliveira is a multidisciplinary artist who graduated in Fine Arts from the School of Arts and Design in Caldas da Rainha, furthering her artistic research through international programs at the Free University of Bolzano and the Accademia di Belle Arti in L’Aquila, Italy.
Her practice combines photography, self-portraiture, and drawing, exploring the body as a territory of identity, intimacy, and transformation.
Her work often stems from personal experience and a sensitive observation of everyday life, expanding into compositions that question the boundaries between presence and absence, reality and memory.
By integrating different experimental processes and a continuous investigation of gesture and its inscription in time, Soraia constructs images that function as fragments of a visual autobiography.
Her works reveal themselves as silent and intimate, inviting the viewer to a careful listening of what remains and what is inevitably lost.
